JOB PURPOSE AND REPORTING STRUCTURE
Under the direction of the CFO, the Cost Accountant is responsible for systemic pricing and costs. This position will serve as the point person for sales pricing and production/purchasing costs as well as reporting and analyzing product margins.

Management of daily Quality Assurance and Food Safety Activities
Perform daily inspections of product quality
Work together with Production Supervisors to ensure products are within specifications on a timely basis.
Bachelor of Science degree in Food or Meat Science or related field preferred
Familiar with HACCP, GMP’s and SQF/GFSI concepts
Minimum 2 years food industry experience
Critical thinking and decision making
Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
Basic math skills
Proficient in Microsoft office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Ability to use, read and calibrate various analytical tools (scales, thermometers, O2 meters, etc.).
